Find Your Place

Community

There is more than one way to belong here. Whether you are just arriving or have been with us a while — find the community that fits where you are right now.

Community at Manna House is not one size fits all. Some people find their people around a table on a Saturday morning. Some find them in an online prayer call before the city wakes up. Some show up to a speed friending event on a Tuesday and meet someone they will know for years. The format is not the point. The point is that you are known — by name, by story, and by the people who show up for you.

Find the table that fits. Pull up a chair. Stay.

Gather In Person

Link & Sync

Speed friending for people who are new to Charlotte, new to the neighborhood, or simply ready to meet someone they would not have met otherwise. We gather in a local space, move through a series of short conversations, and leave having met more people in two hours than most of us meet in two months.

Who it is for: No agenda. No pressure. Just people finding their people.

Men's Community Table

A third space for men — food, honest conversation, and the kind of fellowship that does not require you to have it together before you walk in. Men from Manna House, from other churches, and from no church at all gather here. You do not need to be a Christian to belong at this table. You just need to show up.

Who it is for: Men from Manna House, other churches, or no church at all.

Women's Community Table

The same spirit as the Men's Table — open, honest, unhurried — built for women in the city who are looking for genuine community beyond the surface. If you want to be notified when we launch, let us know.

Who it is for: Women who want to be notified when this launches.

Thursday Morning Prayer

Thirty minutes before the day takes over. We gather online every Thursday morning to pray — for one another, for our neighborhood, and for the city. Short enough to fit in a busy morning. Consistent enough to anchor the week. Everyone is welcome. You do not need to know how to pray out loud. You just need to show up.

Who it is for: Everyone. You do not need to know how to pray out loud.

Monthly Prayer Night

Once a month we slow down together and bring the things we are carrying to God. Thirty minutes of focused, honest prayer — for our community, our city, and the things that are too heavy to carry alone.

Who it is for: Anyone carrying something too heavy to carry alone.

Book Club

We read together and talk about what we are finding. Books that stretch our thinking, challenge our assumptions, and give us something worth discussing. A low-barrier way to connect with people who take ideas seriously — from anywhere in the city.

Journey Retreat

Once a year we go deeper together.

The Journey Retreat is an annual gathering for the Manna House community — a dedicated season to step away from the pace of the city, be still, and go further with God and with each other. It happens at the beginning of each year and is one of the most formative moments in the Manna House calendar.

Host Family Program

A Home for Every Sojourner

Our Host Family Program connects international students and professionals new to Charlotte with Manna House families who can offer something simple and irreplaceable — friendship, a meal, and a place to belong. It is one of the most concrete expressions of who we are and what we believe. Whether you are looking for a host family or ready to become one — there is a place for you here.

For the Next Generation

We are investing in a children's ministry that will teach the next generation to love Scripture, ask hard questions, and know that they belong at this table too. If you have experience in children's ministry and a heart to serve the next generation, we would love to talk.
