George Monjimbo
George was born in Douala, Cameroon. However, at the age of 3 he moved to the United States in 1997 with his immediate family. George has spent the majority of his life in North Carolina. He is a double Tarheel; receiving both his bachelor’s degree in psychology and master’s degree in health administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
George grew up Baptist and likens his spiritual journey to Timothy, who assisted the Apostle Paul in ministering to the early churches. Like Timothy, George’s mother and grandmother prepared his heart and mind to accept Christ through consistent teaching of the Word and serving others. Of special importance to George is addressing the lack of male leadership at the church and home which is impacting the stability of both domains.
In his spare time, George loves to watch sports, enjoys the mountains and hiking, and is an avid reader.
